Border, with the Tree of Jesse; the branches forming compartments enclosing representations of kings, the Virgin, and God the Father. On right hand border, the Virgin holds out a spray of lilies, and the three kings below her hold out sprays of foliage encircling the crest, shield of arms, and badges of John, Duke of Bedford.
