But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Amos 5:23-34 Amos was a prophet from Judah (the Southern Kingdom), a herdsman and dresser of sycamore trees. He was active during the reign of Jeroboam II, a zealot for the God of Israel, and a loner. He foretold the coming punishment of Israel for its unfaithfulness to the covenant, insisting that God's `election' of Israel did not entitle it to special privilege, but only to greater responsibility. The artist's design is intended to convey the power of the rolling waters of justice and the ever-flowing stream of righteousness. This window was executed by McNicholas Studios.
