In not forgiving, we build a blocking wall between us and the ever Grace-full one, resulting in alienating ourselves from the Godly attributes like sharing in His nature and resting in Him. By sacrificing self in forgiving the other, the Father in His Grace is able to put us again in the ever cleansing/restoring stream.
