How to DOWNLOAD , to LISTEN TO and RECORD music on the net ?

goal : To help teachers and music lovers It is sometimes very useful to find quickly some musical sequences to to put on the track of a video show for instance . It is also agreable to choose music in your own media library . And making our way we discover together the creative influence of the judeo christian bible on musical art which is the aim of this site.

We favoured the reliable and legal free solutions here (Public domain, open source). I favoured also the freshness of a new performance when it was "music to my ears"...

1-A WAY TO DOWNLOAD A MUSICAL FILE AND LISTEN TO IT

Why to download ? : To have our own musical files and be able to choose them when we want according to a classification .The various musical file formats used here are "mp3", "ogg" "ram" etc..... It is possible to hear these files by using the software we propose . There are 4 classifications : By Authors, by Genre, by Centuries, by "Liturgy and bible" .

Media player classic is a software which helps you do ear the music of Mp3 or Ogg files you downloaded

Listen to a sound from a "Mp3" or "Ogg file" you have in your computer is different from listening to the stream of a distant server . We explain it below .

2-LISTEN TO A MUSICAL STREAM

JS Bach s Cantatas are a good experience to begin with

1- Download the program Real alternative ( You must have already Media player classic see above) Install them on your computer

2- Go to the following site JS Bach' Cantatas-Music /Choose the red number of the Cantata you want to listen to / Click on "music" / Choose "complete cantatas" (Ram or "ra") and click on it /. You download a small file on your desk for instance in "ram" or" ra" format and when you clik on it it opens the musical stream of the cantata on media player .

Now it is possible to hear so all the Cantatas of Bach in a good digital quality. Everything depends now on your sound card and on the chain or earphone you have to listen to . Other flux format "*.msx"...

Now .I invite you to record this music with Audacity if you like it and want to find it again in your computer..

3-RECORD THE STREAM WITH AUDACITY

Download Audacity here.Althoug you can use this recorder in an intuitiv way it may be necessary to read the tutorial . It is very easy if you dare try different experiences and find the solution by yourself ! It is always possible to uninstall properly and to install once more if you think you have done wrong . Be sure the sound card is properly installed in your computer .

- Properties Audio /I-O put channels 2 stereo

Action: 1 - click red button 2 Open the musical stream .3 At The beginning to regulate the sound volume . Export in your multimedia library in format " ogg " for instance.

Take away the automatic sound horns which can unsettle recording (Mail, antivirus etc).
